The Center for Development and Policies invites you to take part in the international conference dedicated to the opportunities for science, industry and investments to modernize the Defence of the Republic of Bulgaria and address the challenges of the rapidly changing security environment, which will be held on 14 November 2023 in Sofia. The results of the forum will be published in a special collection called: “MODERNIZATION OF THE DEFENCE”.

Scientists and practitioners from the academic and research community will take part in the conference, as well as representatives and experts from the military industry and investments. The possibilities of the scientific community, industry and investments to deal with the modernization challenges faced by the Defence of the Republic of Bulgaria will be presented.

Thematic directions:
    1. Challenges to the modernization of the defence
    2. Commitment of the state to modernize the defence in the context of the changing security environment
    3. Industry and investment for defence modernization: Defence Industry Collaboration: Collaborating with domestic defence industries and international partners to leverage expertise and resources in developing, producing and/or maintaining modern defence systems
